A treasure hunter, an ancient secret, an epic quest for riches. Why does that sound familiar? When we first heard of John Hunter and the Secrets of Da Vinci’s Treasure, we did a pretty good impression of DiCaprio’s famous eye squint from Inception. We couldn’t help draw comparisons to other treasure hunter slots. But Da Vinci’s Treasure and the handsome John Hunter easily pushed those thoughts out of the way. This is in no way a copy of other popular slots with a similar theme (nor a dream within a dream). During our first look at the trailer it seemed like a normal 5-reel Pragmatic Play slot, but this game is hiding some great treasures.
Meet John and hunt for some treasures when you click play and spin with Da Vinci’s Treasure™ on some of our favourite online casinos in Europe:
There’s a bit of a disagreement between us here at Click Play Spin. Is the best part of this slot is the handsome hunter (as a fling, not an option for marriage) or its cool features? But for your sake, we won’t bore you with too much about the aptly named John Hunter, who also acts as the top paying symbol in the game. Instead we’ll focus on what we all really look for in a slot, the wins! First the symbols: other than John, it’s all about Leonardo (the world renowned artist) who is the Wild symbol. And the decoder scroll, the game’s Scatter.
Land three decoder symbols on the reels to trigger one of the game’s three bonus features. Unfortunately, these will trigger randomly, so you won’t be spinning a wheel or picking your favourite to get a feature. Enjoy the Map Quest Feature where you can spin a wheel to traverse a map that looks kind of like a board game. Collect wins along the way and get a 100x Multiplier if you reach the end. This feature is a lot of fun, but it’s far from the best one. Keep an eye out for the Multiplier Free Spins. These bad boys can give you up to 60 free spins and a 60x Multiplier, as the Multiplier increases with each spin. Get the 60 spins and you could win up to 48,000 times your bet!
Finally, there’s a smaller feature, the Prize Picker, which is a typical pick and click feature. The game screen will change to show three different paintings. Pick the one you think holds the best prize, cross those fingers and toes and see what you’ve won. All in all, the three features, huge max win and overall smooth and interesting game play easily sets it apart from other treasure hunter slots. Also, majority of us are all in agreement that the multiplying spins are a way better heartthrob than the treasure hunter himself (sorry John!).
Play it if: You like interactive bonus features, big potential wins and multipliers galore. Bonus: Fans of Book of Dead might enjoy taking this one out for a spin to compare treasure hunters!
